Dear Reader, Shelleys Workshop S.L was founded by Oscar Dorian and MartaVegas, we have been reinventing ourselves for more than 15 years and trying to adapt to a world in constant evolution, our way to here has been tortuous, exciting, unpredictable, fun, sometimes frustrating but always exciting. Our passion for art, history, science, technology, design, and craftsmanship were little by little leading us to discover a new passion for human anatomy and we believed that by gathering our skills we could find a very interesting formula for the design and manufacture of simulators of a high degree of realism with customizable pathologies where to observe, dissect and instruct in a way as realistic as possible. We like to live in an era where changes are constant thanks to new technologies, the discovery of new materials and new techniques that we use every day in our work, but we want at the same time to pay tribute to the thousands of people who for centuries dedicated their lives to the search of knowledge, to which with their effort and tenacity they deepened in the wonderful complexity of the alive beings turning the study of the human anatomy into art. Being aware that corpses have always been an invaluable resource for the study of medical- surgical techniques we also know that they do not always have the pathology required for the study or intervention desired, as well as the complications involved in theirconservation, transfer, measures of safety or lack of blood supply,so we have invested a lot of effort and time on research materials. Density, texture, elasticity, physical response,,color,transparency,viscosity, etc. ..and we have developed an extensive catalog of formulas to satisfy optimally each structure of the anatomy and its pathologies without ever stopping learning. Shelleys Workshop has the invaluable help and advice of surgeons, doctors and specialists. They are the ones who tell us their needs, advise during the design, manufacturing and testing phases and who give final approval to our products, and are an important part of our work.
